Full Job Description

We are looking to hire CDL Class A truck drivers for over-the-road driving position.

Starmark Transport Inc. is a family owned and operated refrigerated  company with more than 20 years of experience. Our experience has lead us to be one of the safest, most reliable carriers in Portland, OR.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Must have a current, CDL & Medical Certificate
  • Have a passport or legal work authorization in USA 
  • Pass a DOT drug screen
  • Meet all Federal and State regulations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay:

  • up to $.50pm on all miles
  • $25 extra stops
  • $20 per hour detention capped at $150 per every 24h
  • layover $150 per day
  • $50 bonus on clean DOT inspection

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be reliable and report on time when scheduled.
  • Have the ability to work independently on the road and communicate effectively with our dispatch team.
  •  Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on tractor and trailer.
  •  Proper preparation of paperwork & Trip Logs that is accurate and legible.
  • 6 months recent verifiable over the road experience with a clean safety record
  • No more that a combination of 3 moving violations and/or accidents in the last 3 years
  • No DUI’s or DWI’s in the last five years
  • No more that 5 jobs in the last 3 years
  • Loading and Unloading
  • Over The Road Experience
  • Log Books/ELD
  • Safe driving practices
  • Able to navigate effectively via maps and GPS
  • Strong time management skills
  • Committed to delivering on schedule
  • Communicating with customers and within the company
  • Driving in winter Weather Conditions
  • Report Vehicle Defects
  • Maintain proper temperature on refrigerated loads.
  • To maintain company equipment in accordance with company standards while maximizing utilization and uptime with a focus on company cost objectives.
